Your role @ TRAVIAN GAMES:

We are seeking an experienced inhouse Senior Community Manager to join the Publishing team for an upcoming 3D MMORPG CROWFALL, set to be launched in 2017
 

  • Represent the players to the team and vice-versa. You’ll walk that fine line between being the player advocate and presenting their views versus a company employee that presents company responses and information to the community… and you’ll know when to emphasize each role
  • Correctly manage the expectations of all stakeholders, from the players to the internal team
  • Reach out to game news and MMORPG fan sites to provide content, interviews, screenshots, et al, to help promote the game
  • Work to establish and maintain a consistent message and communication loop between the players, the development team and internal stakeholders
  • Source, interview, hire and train a staff of remote, contract Community team members to handle several European and Middle Eastern countries in their native languages
  • Set up and maintain forums and social media channels for the game (including Twitch, Facebook and Twitter)
  • Coordinate and plan events with marketing and other stakeholders as required
  • Attend events within Europe when appropriate
  • Report back to the team daily on present concerns, issues and risks expressed by the community
  • Make our online presence a positive experience for the community!

 

Your profile:

  • Several years of experience in the role of Community Manager for online games is required, ideally with at least one (1) year of that experience be as a Senior CM
  • Experience with at least one MMORPG
  • Be a superior communicator both online and face-to-face
  • Experience supervising paid remote contract staff and volunteer moderators
  • You must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Be willing and able to travel occasionally to the U.S. and parts of Europe
  • Must be a team player
