Job description


Gameforge's central, highly available integration platform allows the simple and uniform integration of all games offered. Central services manage the comprehensive data of all players. Based on this, a large number of additional services offer additional functions. As a Java developer, you will work on the new and further development of these services and the central platform components in varied and challenging projects.

 

Tasks to inspire:

  • Maintenance and further development of the application-related parts of the platform and service infrastructure active configuration of the future microservices structure of Gameforge
  • Conception, implementation and support of various services for the implementation of new functions and features
  • Consulting and support for internal developers and external game studios in connecting games and own services
  • Close cooperation with our Technical Operations department in deploying and operating the services
  • Support and extension of the central mailing system of Gameforge

 

 

Qualifications to convince:

  • Several years of experience in the development of Java-based web applications or services, ideally based on a course of study or training in computer science
  • High knowledge of Java and Java Web technologies, ideally Spring
  • Practical experience with OOA/OOD and design patterns
  • Experience with unit and integration tests
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux
  • Experiences in the following topics ideally round off your profile:
    • NoSQL databases and message brokers, such as RabbitMQ
    • Maven, Build Automation, and Docker/Cubernetes
    • Script languages like Python, PHP and Shell
  • Passion, curiosity and willingness to familiarize oneself with new tools and technologies, but also with extensive external code
  • Independent and structured way of working in an agile environment
  • Good knowledge of German and English language in spoken and written form
  • Strong communication and team skills
