2D Generalist Seeking Full-Time Position (Remote / Hybrid in the Cologne Area)

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Evelyn Mason. I am a 2D generalist and a state-certified design technical assistant with eight years of professional experience in the games industry. Most recently, I worked as a 2D Artist at Nurogames in Cologne. There, I contributed to a wide range of projects, from mobile, PC and VR games to research projects and healthcare applications and in addition to classic art production, I also worked in the areas of UI, presentation, marketing and visual communication.

At Nurogames, I was involved in the following projects, among others:

• Mission BioHero (Allthings.bioPRO): A learning game about sustainability and urban development featuring a campaign structure, quizzes, tasks and city-building elements.
• Brain Blossom (ACTTDS): An application for cognitive training for people with mild cognitive impairment in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
• SocketSense: A medical application for prosthetics professionals that supports the structured collection and evaluation of relevant patient data, with a focus on clear and understandable information design.
• Fantasy Fitness Fights VR, Cloudward and Rune Bender VR: VR-based game prototypes focusing on physical activity (exergaming), immersive game worlds and interactive game mechanics.

My responsibilities included creating concept art for characters, props and environments; producing UI mockups and click dummies; implementing 2D assets in Unity; and designing logos, trailers, marketing assets, as well as larger print and presentation materials.

I enjoy working in a broad, generalist role and supporting wherever there is a visual or conceptual need, from the first sketch through to implementation within a project. I value quality, independent work and constructive feedback.
